Comments: Paris North Lamar lost to Forney 1-0 while Yoakum rebounded from their unexpected loss to Edna. Andrews improved to 25-5 with another win. Wills Point took Van to 10 innings 6-5. Van scored once in the seventh to tie then again in tenth for the win. Earlier this year Van eased past Wills Point 3-2. Huffman is 21-3 on the year after beating Splendora 4-1. Huffman’s three losses have come at the hands of Nederland, Brenham and Splendora (in their first meeting). LaGrange is 22-2, 7-1 in district with two games left. Andrews won again 21-0 against Brownfield to improve to 8-0 in district and 26-5 overall.
Nothing against Gatesville because they are a very noteworthy opponent, but West beat them for the 2nd time last night to win the district 7-3A title. West finishes the regular season at 20-4. Gatesville can't possibly still be ranked in the top 10 after this week I would think. Both games were close with West winning each game by 1 run, but still, a loss is a loss.
