Wow, this might cost Bellville the chance to make the playoffs.

Schubert also hits grand slam to blow game open. Good chance of getting 3rd place in District now.

Baseball standings, with two games remaining.

Giddings (7-1)
Bellville (7-1)
La Grange (4-4)
Columbus (3-5)
Sealy (2-6)
Smithville (1-7)

Giddings and Bellville are in the play-offs, third is still up for grabs.

Columbus still has to play Giddings then Smithville. LaGrange has Sealy then Bellville.

La Grange needs only a win against Sealy tonight and a Columbus lost to Giddings to secure the 3rd spot. If this happens the Bellville game does not mean anything to the standings.

I think all three teams are 4-5.
Bellville has Smithville today-May be their saving grace, and beating Giddings in the first round.
Columbus is at Giddings and Sealy at La Grange.

I predict a rubber game between giddings and bellville in baseball for the district champion. I don't see giddings losing either of the next two games with Kmock & Masek available. Maybe LG can upset Bellville to prevent the playoff.

Bellville seems to still have the inside track however Columbus and Sealy seem to be playing better ball than right now.

Jenna has been pitching all season. Last night was her last home game. It was nice to go out with a win.

Our season has been up and down as you probably have noticed. Every game has been lost with errors and runners left on bases, (isn't that the way of this game? lol) with the exception of a couple. I believe this is a record year for errors for us, actually way more than last year, which was the season from **** !!!

If both finish 9-1 they would be District Co Champs, the rubber game would only be for the seeding?
