I know it is early especially since these high school football players are not even juniors yet and things can change over 2 years but below is a list of Lone Star's top 100 Texas football recruits for 2011. It is loaded with running backs which includes Malcolm Brown and Aaron Green. I am sure UT will go after Mr. Brown and Mr. Green and others especially if Mr. Seastrunk doesn't go there. It will be interesting. I know it is jumping the gun but I am sure the colleges will be watching these players since many of them already have their offers out for the 2010 class.

Green > Brown

Brown is just rated higher because he is more physically developed IMO.

I know what you mean Electus and it is possible that their positions may be reversed before the recruiting is over but they are both great players though.

Hey Electus I looked over them quickly. I think for sure we should offer No. 11 and also No. 74 who has expressed high interest for UT. He is QB at Austin Lake Travis and his father and grandfather played for UT. If he is willing to verbal early for us I think we should take him even though we are in good shape at QB right now.

Others on the list who have already expressed medium interest in UT are numbers 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, 15, 18, 21, 24, 31, 35, 37, 38, 43, 50, 53, 56, 63, 64, 83, 94 and 96.

Of course as I wrote things can chance and it is only their junior year coming up and they can't verbal until February 2010 at the earliest. Because it is early many of them don't have any schools as listed as interest yet.

We are still waiting on 2010 recruits to decide and their decisions will be an impact on how many we take in this class and what positions in this class are critical for us.

Isn't it a bit early to be rating players? Players from the best programs may have not had a chance to shine yet. A player at a not so good program probably had a better opportunity to shine as a sophomore. Also a kids age is still a huge factor during their sophomore year. A kid who has been held back somewhere down the line is at a tremendous advantage still in the 10th grade. Some younger sophmores will move ahead of some of these early bloomers.

A good point but it is interesting discussion. And yes a lot can happen in two years.

I've been hearing Texas has a big interest in the running back from Odessa High, Bradley Marquez, several articles and a highlight reels on some UT sites.
