Who would win? What would the score be?

Which team was the best Brownwood team? Which team was the best Celina team?

When you figure out the last 2 questions, we can answer the first 2. :D

I'll have to go with Celina.

I think those young guys would kill the old men.:D

Which team was the best Brownwood team? Which team was the best Celina team? You must really be bored. That's like asking if the Brooklyn Dodgers could beat any New York Yankees teams of the present.

The winner would then get the opportunity to best any Abilene Wylie team:D .

The Yankees have had some down years recently so I thought maybe the Dodgers would have a chance.

O.k.--let's set the stage a little more for this question---

What year Celina team is considered to be their best of all time?

Likewise, for the Brownwood folks?

When decided, let the discussions begin....

Or we could just combine the two to make one squad and let them get pasted by the Daingerfield team.

I'm a little biased, but I'd put the Lions' 81 state team against (almost) any team. That was Brownwood's second year in 4A and we beat a really good Fort Bend Willowridge team to finish 14-1. We lost the first game of the year to Abilene Cooper by one point, then ran the table after that. Thurman Thomas that played at Okie St. and for the Buffalo Bills was on that Willowridge team.

I saw that state game with my dad when I was a young kid. That was a great team and the coaching staff there could be argued to be as good as any staff put together. Coach Woods and Coach Southall (Spelling) were great together.

The '83 Daingerfield team could've beaten any of them!:D

Isn't there some kind of site somewhere out there where you can do this and tells you who would win??

It seems like PPHSFan may have posted it once upon a time.

Or....maybe I have just lost my mind!:crazy1:

I would put the 02' 4A Semifinalist team against any of the Celina teams.

You can do that, BEAST. Just go to the website above and punch it in. Let us know how it turns out, though.

If the best Brownwood team played the best Celina team I would assume we would be in Back To The Future Part IV

My vote for Brownwood's best would be Brownwood's ONLY undefeated State Champion team, which was the 1965 3A team that went 14-0-0 outscoring opponents 305-43. It was the best defensive showing Brownwood has ever had and they shut down Bridge City 14-0 in the State Finals. Steve Worster was on that Bridge City team and went on to lead BC to the State Championship the very next year.

Celina's 2005 2A State Champion team would be my pick for their best ever. 803 points for and 75 points against in 16 games.

2007 Liberty Hill 26
2005 Celina 34

2008 Liberty Hill 26
2008 Gilmer 31

2008 Gilmer 31
2008 Celina 28

Interesting, but maybe not!
