Whats with the BYES ?
Gainesville goes Region1 ?
Whitesboro might actually make the playoffs next year...for the first time in school history !

I could see Gainesville possibly going Region 1, but Pilot Point and especially Van Alstyne are too far East. Heck Van Alstyne is off of HWY 75 aka Central Expressway.

Seems reasonable.

Gainesville has never been in Region I. Even when they were 4A, we were still Region II.

Wow! If that is truly what they think, then I guess I can't disagree, but Good Lord there will be some traveling being done in East Texas if the districts fall this way. District 14 is not bad, because that's all you could really do with those teams anyway. Plus, I like the addition of Jefferson to that district. District 15 is headed way South (directionally not figuatively) with Huntington and Diboll. District 16.....huh.....huh....well, I can't say that those teams make a very reasonable district in my mind, but maybe they're trying to spice things up a little bit. If this district does happen, at least Center will have Sabine to share the cellar with. And Gilmer/ Spring Hill should be epic as always.
These district breakdowns are interesting if they're true, but I guess we won't know for another three days.

Gilmer and Center are about 100 miles apart, but I can remember when we used to scrimmage them, so this sort of travel is not unprecedented.

This would be a much tougher district for Gilmer, but I am a little tired of watching us play the patsies in 11-3A myself. Plus, the 11-3A schools have substandard athletic facilities in a number of cases.

In District 31 Raymondville and Zapata are 147 miles apart...talk about long trip! Actually each school in District 31 are more than an hour away from Raymondville. Yet we are only miles from District 32 teams.

In district 25 its a 190 mile trip from Ingram to Gatesville. Now that's a long way for a district game!
