Laser Rangefinders

I am getting a laser rangefinder instead of one of the golf GPS things...

Im wondering if any of you golfers know if there is a difference between the golf models and hunting models??? for example the Nikon 550 series base model goes for about 200 bucks, but the Nikon/Callaway 550 goes for 300 bucks. They look the same minus the logo and color.

And the Bushnell models have the scout 1000 for 200 bucks and the Tour V2 (golf version) for 300 bucks???

I have a nikon and have used a bushnell. The only drawback for the nikon is that you have to hold it extremely steady with anything over 200 yards...
Either way they were both easy to use and did a good job.
