In all honesty the only MLB team I enjoy seeing get beat down
like that is the Yankees.

We will see what tomorrow brings when you face our "ace".

I knew this would be a bad matchup for us today sending Kris Benson to the mound against Gallaraga who was one of yalls better pitchers last year and he was on today. The way Cabrera is hitting right now he can single handedly carry an offense. Advantage tomorrow may be to the Tigers as well with who we are sending to the hill. The Tigers always kill the Rangers in Comerica remember last year that 19-6 romp you guys had against us and sweeping the rest of the series.

I try not to get too worked up in April. I'm just pleased they aren't 0-4.

So what's the over/under that Detroit scores 15-20 runs in atleast
one of these next three games?

Rangers have a lot of fans before the all-star break but after they usually dwindle.

Have you seen Texas' pitching lately? a 4.20 ERA for the season, 3.49 for the month of July.

I think games are going to be more like 3-2 than 15-13.

Okay, take the air right out of my trash talking bubble.

I am happy that the Tigers are in first place. But they have a
lineup that rivals the Phillies. They damn sure ain't hitting like
them though.:(

That's what's holding the Rangers back right now is their offense...they have plenty of talent, but their hits all come sporadically. They're just not stringing anything together.

Anyway, weather is going to make it really questionable whether they play tonight at all.

I guess I need to check the weather. It has been
overcast skies and humid here all day.

It's been raining steadily in Flower Mound all day...I'm guessing it's the same in Arlington (the Ballpark is only about 15 miles from here).

I just hope the Rangers can get over the hump, so to speak, and beat the Tigers. Geeeez, the Tigers have whooped up on the Rangers pretty good this year. The Rangers have to prove they can at least compete with the Tigers, because if both make the playoffs they will meet eventually, probably the first round. If the Rangers can't beat the Tigers in the regular season, I don't like their chances in a possible playoff series.

I just looked at the radar. My luck tonight was
going to be the one game that they were going
to televise here in Sweetwater.

They haven't postponed it yet, have they? Maybe they'll get the game in.....

they haven't postponed it...but it's probably less than 50/50 that they get the game in. I hope they do, but weather.com is showing about a 70% chance of rain in Arlington this evening.

I hope they can get in at least 5 innings.........if the Rangers are leading.:D I don't like double-headers, and I know the players don't. I'm anxious to see if they can actually BEAT them Tigers. They haven't yet this year...

Looks like the game is going to start on schedule.
I just hope FSSW doesn't go from the pre-game
show to the WPT at 7:00.

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

When Granderson parked the second pitch of the game, I thought
woo hoo here we go.

Then it turned into the low scoring game crazyj said it was.:(

Detroit definitely had their chances. If I had a dollar for everytime
that Cabrera or Ordonez struck or popped out with bases loaded
this season, I could take today off.

Ordonez is over the hill and past his prime. Cabrera is off the roids and looking all skinny:D

Well, Padilla just got scratched again as he's not fully recovered from Swine flu. Looks like it will be Doug Mathis going tonight for Texas.

The Tigers will have rookie(built in excuse if
needed :D) left hander Luke French. He is 1-1
with a 2.22 ERA and 17 SO's.

Good deal! They are televising this one in
Sweetwater. Something tells me that the fact
that these games are being played in Texas has
something to do with it.

Do you not get FSSW?

Sweetwater Red
07-28-2009, 07:22 PM
Yes I do. At the beginning of the season, the
guide said that all six games were going to be
televised here. I got to watch all the pregame shows
and 2 or 3 games. The other times FSSW switched
to WPT or something at game time.

Looks like you woke up the Rangers Red!!!! Tigers smashed again as Rangers go to 14 games over 500 on the year:thumbsup: Now we must deal with that pesky Verlander.

Yeah. This series is definitely going as I expected. Of course I
hadn't noticed that the Rangers home record.

If the Tigers are gonna win one, Verlander gives them the best
chance. As long as he doesn't get in trouble in the first inning,
which he has a habit of doing, it should be a good game.
