McCarthy strikes out the side in top of the first for the Rangers. Rangers bats come out hot in bot first and still batting :)

haha...I just looked down at the clock on my computer and saw what time it was and turned on my radio just as the pitch from Byrd was hit...I couldn't tell if it was live or an old call that was getting replayed as an open, but I was glad when I heard the score!

I heard there was an auto dealer who was going to give away free cars if the Rangers go 4-0 and the Yankees go 0-4 to start the season.

The Rangers have now scored 29 runs in 3 games. WOW! Gave up 14 though. Need to get that ERA down to win it all.

I caught today's game. I'm with you on that ERA. Bullpen is shaky right now at best. Even Wed. night game. Did you see how bad CJ Wilson missed his spots? For a major league pitcher he was missing spots badly.
In close games, when the bats aren't doing as much damage, that pitching staff is going to have to tighten it up.

My question would be are they capable of tightening up? Rangers have long been hitters, just wish we had some pitching.

Where is Billy Martin when we need him? I know the players weren't crazy about him but at least they won. Maybe that's what the Rangers need, a manager they don't like? Shakey rotation, poor bullpen. Sounds just like past years.

The team's current ERA is 4.33. Last season, that would have ranked them right behind the Yankees, who won 89 games.
