Didn't think I would want another American Made car, but the new Camaro is pretty sweet.

If I was gonna do it, I'd go with this:

Might be getting into an apples and oranges comparison with a cobra VS ?. The base model camaro will have a turbo V6 cranking out 300HP for less than the cost of the mustang GT. I think that camaro is pretty sweet as is the challenger. Still a mustang man at heart though.

Sorry, I didn't get that one. But I'll bite. Why on earth would I put a fifth wheel hitch on top of a Camaro?

Nice!

I had a 69 Camero and 69 Firebird when I was in High School back in the mid 70s, wish I had not sold them.
I also had a 79 Berlinetta Camero, bought it in San Angelo back in 79!

Should not have sold that one either!:(

I'm thinking the SS will be my next car but I'll wait a couple of years to find it used and make sure there are no issues with a new model. I'm also a Mustang man at heart. My first two cars were a 67 and a 68. They really did a nice job with the new Mustang design but I prefer the Camaro since it's a bit more retro.
If money were no object, I would build a 66 fastback restomod with modern suspension, electronics, interior and a 6speed manual with overdrive. That would be off da hook.........http://WWW.1965-ford-mustang.com/1965-mustang-fastback-custom-1a.jpg

First car was a 1969 Olds 442 with a 455 cu.in. 4 barrel. Sold it when gas got to 70 cents a gallon cuz it only got 8 mpg. That car rocked.

Now I drive a Ford SUV and get 12 mpg at $2.00 per gallon - Would rather have the Olds back. It was a chick magnet lol

I wouldn't kick it out of bed but from what I've read, It would need quite a bit of suspension work to lower it and improve cornering and handling. Also, IMHO, they could have given it a more threatening (appealing) look.http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e103/jinxergt/victorywallpaper-1.jpg http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p310/JGReaper/custom5thgencamaro.jpg

I have just about convinced myself to get the SS with the fat back tires. Now I have to decide on the Hot Rod Red or the Hot Rod Yellow.

It's a good one. We've had no complaints except for the cost of new tires...

Will the new Camaro overtake the Mustang as the high school girl car of preference?

catdaddy

Are you saying we would all prefer high school girls? I'm, uh, thinking that's too close to being someone's Suzi to mess with...:twitch:

Agreed, but the majority of female owners have the v-6 which I wouldn't want in either car.
