IMO, the lady in Keith's example was crazy enough to have used any weapon, not just a gun, to achieve her end.

Wow what a stupid argument. First of all, I don’t think I've ever heard anyone claim "More guns in the public would mean less shooting". Secondly, she was a crazy woman!!! She was obviously going to do what she was going to do, with or without a gun. Guns aren’t the only way for crazy people to kill, you know.
There are millions of people out there with guns that never even dream of hurting a sole with one, yet you pick a complete lunatic to support your stance on guns. I think that says a lot about how ridiculous your stance really is. Think about it comrade.

Just this morning, there was a news story on the Houston NBC affiliate about two guys in a pickup pulling a boat back from a fishing trip on one of the freeways. A car pulled up beside them and an occupant started shooting at them. The guys in the truck returned fire and rammed the truck into the back of the car. The truck ended up in the ditch and the car ended up in a gas station with one of the occupants dead. The others were arrested.

Better to have a gun and NEVER need it than the other way around.

Ted is the man. He speaks his mind and realizes that our ammendments and rights are in place to protect us and should not be taken away by government.

I've sent my concealed handgun application in and I should receive my license in the next month. The procedure to get a license is not easy. They make sure they know who you are and what you've done in your life before they issue a license.
