Was this the best team of the last 20 years? They ran through the tournament like noone else has ever done. Is this a case of being one of the best teams ever or was it just a weak year for the rest of college basketball?

Going back 20 years? Probably quite a few teams! For starters I'll go with Carolina 05.

I think its pretty hard to argue against this team as one of the best in the last 20 years. 05 Carolina...maybe. That would be a fun comparison, especially since its a brand new completely different team. Nobody left from the previous years.

I think Lawson>Felton and Hansbrough=May
Ellington=McCants
Thompson<J. Williams
Green>J. Manuel

Both teams had great bench play, but I think 05 probably had a better bench just due to Marvin Williams. That would make for a great game. I have 09 having a better lineup, but 05 a stronger bench.

I will take my 92 Devils over alot of teams including this one. This Carolina team was very very good. Ty Lawson only comes along once every often. When you have a guy like that it makes things so much easier. Look at Duke the last 4 years point guard = crap. 1990 UNLV was very good, however the best of all might have been 1996 Kentucky, that was one hell of a squad.
