Brownwood does have 1 very good vaulter. Freshman Stehl Ratliff won the Bluebonnet Relays with a vault of 14'6". His personal best is 15'6". He won the Jr Olympics or Nationals or something like that this past summer. It was held out in California.

We have another kid (Caden Ellis) who I think is a sophomore. He is almost as good at Ratliff. He also went to Jr Oymmpics last year in califorina.

Both these kids and Ratliffs dad helped with the Jr High pole vaulters too. In the district track meet in Graham the 7th grade took first, second and third thanks to them.

I don't know the results for our district, but I'm willing to bet that Scott Shaffer from Llano won.

The Brownwood freshman only had to clear 14'0" to win the district. Guess he will have to wait until regionals to clear that 30' vault
