Crane is playing at Brownwood, thats a haul too....Alpine and Crane's coaches have both said they value the experience they get from 7 on 7...they don't feel they can get the work in out west that they can by coming east and playing teams from other parts of the state....many valley teams do the same thing...

Thats probably true. I'm Just glad I'm not a parent from there. I think Brownwood is the farthest we have to travel.

When you live out there travel is relative and a part of life....an hour and a half drive to Wal-Mart is no big deal LOL

Back when the speed limit was still 55. and the closest walmart or movie, bowling alley was 60 miles away in Fort Stockton

LOL!! That's the truth!!

When they built the new Wal-Mart on the south side of Midland I was ecstatic...it now takes me 8 minutes to get to Wal-Mart from my house vs. the 30 minutes it took to get to the one across town!!

I believe a former alpine buck alum being on the coaching staff at Glen Rose had to do a little with Alpine making this particular SQT

Probably, I'd imagine thats why they picked Glen Rose.....last year Alpine got lucky because they had a SQT in Crane....but 2 years ago they traveled to Texas State to play in one...those guys will hit the road
