Man, if they scored that many and gave up that many, I know a official's chapter that needs a raise. They must have run several marathons to keep up with the football at SS games.

I mean, that makes the average game score about 48 to 30 or 31. I saw alot of basketball games this year that didn't have that many total points scored. Around 11 touchdowns per game for the two teams. Unreal. I can see that in a few games, and even wider margins, but to average scoring 48 and giving up 30 over 16 games is just amazing. Especially when you play that bad of defense and still win a state championship. If they had made a few more stops, they might have averaged 56 or more scored per game.

Kind of like Brownwood except the SS defense was just bad and not completely horrible.

honestly....they werent THAT bad on Defense...they were just always on the freaking field. SS's offense constantly scored on 2, 3 play drives. Especially in the title game. Those SS defenders were dog tired!

sulpher springs defense was good enough to stop the opposing offenses a couple times a game.....that was all they needed...the state title game with them and dayton was something else, it was like watching a contest to see who could score the quickest...

the 2nd quarter of that game was either the most prolific display of offense i have ever seen at a high school game from both teams OR the worst display of defense in high school i have ever seen....being it was the title game im gonna go w/ the first one...
