District 16-3A
Liberty Eylau 4 Mt Vernon 2

LE's senior pitcher is back from knee surgery and rehab, and although not in mid-district form (she just came back last Thursday), things are coming along. LE graduated its entire starting lineup (except the pitcher) from 2008's state finalist team, so we consist of inexperienced freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, only one of whom saw any varsity play last year. LE had not won a game this season until last Friday night, so I'm thinking positive thoughts right now. Just happy to be going to watch my kid play one more season - or part of it anyway ;)

Coach Morehead over in Fabens really has his girls playing well, they beat pecos tonight 8-2. Craven and his girls are making a playoff push. Way to go coach Morehead!
