In fact, the coaches poll had Columbus @ #8 in the state this week.

i was skeptical of that ranking, 3a baseball doesnt have them in their top 20 which i think is much better poll :)

So what is the scoop on Columbus, from the word I got Appelt is the No.1 pitcher. I saw some of their other pitchers throwing bullpen with Coach Gonzales last Thursday, they did not look very impressive. How is their hitting, can LG beat them.

Tyler Ostert is the #1 pitcher for Columbus, Appelt is good, had many KO's vs Bellville, but Bellville also got back on track and hit the ball well. Cant tell you if LG can beat them because dont know how good the leps are. We will take one at a time, next up for Bellville will be Sealy.

Don't think it's Tyler Ostert, I think it's Tommy. Tommy played summer ball with some of the Bellville boys. He hit the ball hard for Columbus. He didn't pitch on the summer team, he played 3B. He does have a strong arm though. Mueller pitched a great game, but Columbus only managed 3 hits(one a slow infield roller). A base running mistake took them out of one inning. Maybe they had an off night, but they were beatable on Friday.

Congrats to the Bulls on the win against Columbus. Good luck against Sealy on Tuesday.
