Please keep the family of North Texas football player Jermaine Dawson in your prayers. He was found murdered this morning in Lewisville. He was a fine young man scheduled to graduate this May. He will be missed......

:(

Man, that was my workout partner when we were still in high school together. Every afternoon and every day during the summer. I can't believe this is happening....prayers go out to his family.

I had him in Junior High. Prayers go out to the family. He was always so nice to my son and our family. Will really miss him!

Makes you want to go home and just give your kid a big hug and realize how lucky you are to have them.

How awful. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends, and I hope justice is served on the perpetrator swiftly. As for those of you who knew him from Rockdale, I am sorry for your loss.

I was lucky enough to coach Germaine for 3 years. Great kid, my wife and I really thought the world of him. I was very proud of him when he walked on at NT and had success.
In high school he was a lot of fun to work with; friendly, funny, respectful, and hardworking. As a coach you couldn't ask for a better kid. Its been about 3 years since I was last in contact with him, but this really hit me hard when I got the news.
As coaches we form bonds with these kids that last forever, whether or not we keep in contact with the athlete after they graduate or not. My heart goes out to his family.
He was a great young man and he will be missed.

i only met him 3 or4 times but you could always tell he was one of the good guys. I met him at orientation and knew who he was because of bbde and talked to him a little then and told him i knew bbde...talked to him a few other times and you could just tell he wasn't like a lot of guys who play football here and kind of feel like they are above the rest of the students..he will be missed by many people even ones who had barely met him

A sad loss and a senseless murder. Prayers from Sinton and hope that the murderers are brought to justice.
