Steve Spurrier pissed off coaches and he won, Nick Saban pissed of and still pisses off SEC coaches and he won.

you dont have to play nice in the SEC and win( in fact I love it when they dont play nice)

If he recruits well( got the #1 player in the nation to go to UTenn in a major coup) he will win and then it wont matter what the other coaches think off him

No doubt, but UTn is a mediocre team in the toughest conference in football and he is biting off more than he can chew by putting a target on his teams back. The cupboard is bare at at UTn and a bunch of really good teams are now gunning for him bacause he mouthed off. He may not get the 4 years he needs to build a comptetitive team.
