Sinton vs. Aransas Pass

I think if the Pirates do indeed finally have their act together, this could get very ugly for Aransas Pass. Mathis beat them with ease last week 25-7, and I really don't see AP giving Sinton much trouble as long as the Pirates manage to hang onto the ball.

No but I'm sure their attitude is greatly improved after a big win like this.Didn't make the game Friday.I figured I donated enough blood to the skeeters for one week.

It has been raining so to be safe you better bring some mosquito spray. I was at the game Friday night and I think the team's spirit and attitude is great now plus confidence is high. You could see it on the players' faces after the game. They had that look which they didn't have before even after the Orange Grove Win. I think the young Pirates have arrived.

Aransas before district played 2-4A, 1-3A and 2-2A teams. These teams sported a combined record of 13-17. To there credit AP played a much tougher schedule than did West Oso. AP was pasted 70-0 by Wharton. Sinton won't put that many points on AP but will score often on this team. AP will play Sinton tough because this is almost a must-win for them or it's bye-bye playoffs for them. Sinton by 30...
It's good to hear the boys are grabbing some confidence.

Does anybody know what AP's running under Sosa? Is he a wing-t guy too like Chris is?

I think AP does run the same wing T offense as Mathis. I read the article on the 2 Sosas playing against each other last week and knowing each others offense quite well.

Good luck Sinton Pirates against Aransas Pass. I expect yall to win this game handily. Barring injuries/huge upsets I still expect to meet you guys again for the Div.I region championship. If so, maybe I will be able to meet you guys this go around. Go Pirates! Sinton by 28! :)

Thanks for the vote of confidence!! I hope we get as far as the Region IV Championship game, but that is still a LONG way off. BUT even if we do or don't make it, I'll be there & we can meet, IF Burnet makes it!! wink :D

I think Burnet is alot closer to the Region IV game than Sinton, but who knows. Sinton maybe getting on a roll. Would be nice to see Sinton steamroll AP (for homeconing) to really give the team some confidence. Thanks for the positive words Chris. Good luck to Burnet the rest of the year. Go Pirates!!
