That's odd that baseball and softball aren't included in the standings.

Perhaps they are not included as they have not been decided yet?

I guess it wasn't a good academic year for Celina, because it was probably the school's best-ever athletically — across the board.

State runner-up in football, first volleyball playoff ever, region finalist in GBB, state tournament in softball, region semifinalist in baseball. The UIL doesn't have 2008 XC updated but Celina's done well there too in the past.

Don't know if track counts, but Jordan Roos (a freshman) has a chance to get a silver medal behind Baillio in shot.

How do they award the points? I'm sure it's so much for state, region, etc.

those other things are nice to haves, but being a loser in football is bad news here in Orange-town.....so bad was the year that we lost to Prosper in football and Princeton in baseball.....we don't like losin to Collin County teams in about anything....

On a brighter note, the girls should now be seeded #1 in the SB tourney!

yep beatin #1 should make them #1.....and they have some great young players to keep the team going, but they do lose some quality players as seniors this year, so I hope they go out champs......Joey and Brit and Shelby and Roos all have done great jobs this year and sure have a great shot at a trophy...

I would hope a town would put academics over athletics.
