So does basketball stay with the football alignment? And what the heck school is Austin "Vandegrift"? Isn't that secretly Leander?  I'm confused.

Districts 8 & 30 are completely jacked up for all sports except for football and I guess basketball. 12 "gets" N. Forney for those same sports.

Football alignment wont come until February and will remain unchanged. All other sports do have an occasional year to year change depending upon new schools such as Leander Vandergrift and Boerne.

More:

Bandera (and Boerne) will be in 30 for those sports.

(Sucks for Region IV in Volleyball, with Wimberley & Fredericksburg moving! ;) )

new 30-3a Boerne, Bandera, Fred., Wimberley, Ingram and Canyon Lake....new 8-3a Liberty Hill, Llano, Burnet, Rouse and Vandergrift.......football stays the same....i believe because of non-district scheduling is done on a two year contract...where as other sports don't require a contract....could be wrong.

And Victoria will have two new schools that will start football in either 2010 I think

They will be called Victoria East and Victoria West

Still building them and supposed to be open by next July

so they will be put 5A districts with probably Corpus Christi or San Antonio Schools

Will the Leander schools be in 8 3A for basketabll to? I see its for volleyball, baseball, and softball but cant tell if basketball is the same as well.

Vandegift is in the Riverplace . Steiner Ranch area.
Vandegrift and Rouse will only have 9th & 10 graders.

At least we wont have far to drive for distrcit games.

I didn't see basketball either which led to some of my confusion. ;)

I had heard from a coach at Victoria that the 2 new schools will be 4A not 5A.

I spoke with someone at the Uil Office today and they said the basketball districts for next year will be posted next week.
