Here's a thought... should the "last two in" be forced to play in the play-in opening round game, and let the automatic qualifiers lose to a team other than a team ranked #1....

I would like to see two "on the bubble" teams play for the play-in spot and let the teams with automatic bids play as the higher seeds

I agree with this idea. It makes more sense than what goes on now.
