I'm sure SFIA will be in attendance. I'm gonna try and "sneak" away for the Calallen game at 1pm, but that appears to be the only game I can go to. Track meets on Thursday & Saturday.

light rain, very light and little cool breeze right now. no heavy rain expected today :)

Teams:
John Paul II (10-2-1)-Has finish 2nd in both tourneys they've been in(losses-Robstown,Cuero). John Paull II is from district TAPPS-3 4a and open district tuesday with 12-3 win over SA Christian.

Pharr San Juan Alamo(9-2)-Lost yesterday in a upset in their district opener.Picked to win district 31-5a.(only loss before district was to Sharyland 20-2).

Calallen (11-1)-suffered first loss this past weekend to SA Reagan 3-2 in Boerne tourney . SA Reagan coach is a nephew of Calallen coach. Calallen is from district 31-4a and open district play on tuesday with a 14-0 win over Laredo Nixon.

Corpus Christi King(8-2-1)- Has finished 3rd in both tourneys this year.Open district Tuesday with a 10-0 win over SA Wagner. Coming of a 3rd place finish in Mira Tourney with only loss to CC Carroll and has lost to no.6 rank Laredo United. King is from district 27-5a

Eagle Pass(7-4)- coming off a loss in their district opener to no.6 rank Laredo United 2-1. Losses have been to Moody 5-3, Edinbergh 11-7 and McAllen 13-12. Eagle Pass is in District 29-5a.

Tuloso Midway(7-4)- won the Port Isabel Tournament. Has a win over Robstown but struggle in the last tourney(Mira's) as they went 1-3 with only win against Ingleside.TM is from district 31-4a and open tuesday with a 11-1 win over Kingsville in district opener.

Sinton(5-5)-Finish 3rd last year in this tourney and with the team almost at full strength as baseketball returnees just getting into the flow should be able to compete in this tourney against a pretty good field.Sinton is in district 31-3a.

CORPUS CHRISTI — The misty conditions had subsided by the time John Paul and Calallen were set to take the field for Friday night’s second-round matchup in the Wildcats’ annual tournament.

However, umpires called off the game after deciding the wet weather had done enough damage to make the pitchers’ mound unsafe.

“We don’t need anybody hurt and they don’t need anybody hurt,” Calallen coach Steve Chapman said.

As a result, Chapman was forced to abandon today’s bracket and put together three games to give teams at least one more chance to play today.

Sinton opens against PSJA, followed by John Paul and Eagle Pass. Calallen will close out the day against King.
