i work in a corporate office. i am in a pretty vacant row (and have been since i started here in June of 07)...there are only 3 people on my row of 6. we all share 1 printer.

the printer is across from my cube because one lady in particular (mind you there are only 3 on my row) kept moaning about us having it moved to one of the vacant cubes.

so my manager went to HR (out of her way) to accomodate this woman and have it moved.

now....for my dilemma.

if i leave documents in the tray when she goes and pics up her docs--she "can't help but overlook" my documents. she then proceeds to (EVERYTIME) tell me what i should have done in that situation.

1st of all....i purposely try to stay out of other people's business.

2nd of all....she is not my manager.

3rd of all....SHE IS NOT EVEN MY SUPERVISOR!!!

yet everytime i talk on the phone, or print anything that she sees or overhears--this woman has to comment.

not to mention, she is a glorified "gossip queen."

i already had to go to my manager once about how she is constantly creeping over my shoulders....and even asked to be moved.

but low and behold....HR doesn't want to move me unless absolutely necessary.

i told them, i was at my breaking point of either:

1. screaming bloody murder and telling her off

2. quit

so since they didnt want either...."they had a talk with her"

ugh. poilitics. they are everywhere.

My advice to you is always follow Ron's example.

Next time she tries any of that petty crap say one of the following to her:

"You are a smelly pirate hooker."

"Why don't you go back to your home on Whore Island?"

"I'm gonna punch you in the ovary, that's what I'm gonna do. A straight shot. Right to the babymaker."

That should take care of the problem! :D :D :D

There ARE ways to get back.
Find out what she is afraid of or hates(something like spiders or clowns). You can buy whatever this is in the form of miniature plastic figures or miniature erasers in bags. Proceed to place them one at a time in odd places on her desk or inside, under the phone from day to day, skipping a week or two... etc etc etc. Then eventually place more and more... you get the picture.
Try taping her office phone cradle button with clear scotch tape. When she tries to pick it up all she gets is silence and enjoy her cries of "Hello... HELLO? HELLO?!?!!!"

Add alum to her hand moisturizer...
;)
You get the hint. You seem to be the kinda big girl who would excel at this kind of stuff. Have fun and never get caught!
I had fun with a certain employee last year who worked against me in my department and the changes I needed to bring to make my department more profitable...
can't say anymore.
Is this ethical? Heck no!:D

She sounds like a female Dwight Schrute, watch The Office, plenty of ideas similar to SF's suggestions lol
