Does anyone know the website to the Texas Sports Writers Association or what the latest softball rankings were? The new rankings were supposed to come out today.

Page 8 of the Houston Chronicle has the All-State picks.

To Middleagecard: Would you elaborate on the article, or paste it....I could only find the 5A results, via internet from the Chronicle.

Old, I did not find it on the Chron's website and I do not have the paper any more but Meagan Godwin from Bridge City made 1st team as an outfielder. Holly Tankersley from Kirbyville made the 1st team as a pitcher and also picked up Player of the Year. I'll try to find the picks again and post it in it's entirety.

Still don't know how/why these two girls from :rolleyes: Taft :rolleyes: made the All-State team??? eek! Especially 1ST team over Jackie DeLeon!! Do the Sports Writers use regular season stats or do they include playoff games?? I just don't get it??

That looks like a good slate for the most part-but something is really wrong down in that Taft situation.
