Just thought some of you might be interested. It is something to see, if you never have before.

Oh heck! We talked a while back about having a M&G there. I'll be near Waco Saturday watching high schoolers in tight suits show off their muscles. ;)

But we really need the rain and that has not always hurt us!!

Hey Marlin.....how about posting that letter to the editor in today's Sweetwater Reporter???? :D

Well if you insist. Here goes.
ARCHAEOLOGIST REPORTS
After having dug to a depth of 10 feet last year, New York scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 100 years and came to the conclusion, that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 100 years ago. Not to be outdone by the New Yorkers, in the weeks that followed, California archaeologist dug to a depth of 20 feet, and shortly after, story in the LA Times read: 'California archaeologists, finding traces of 200 year old copper wire, have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications network a hundred years earlier than the New Yorkers.'
One week later, The Sweetwater Reporter, a local newspaper in Texas, reported the following: After digging as deep as 300 feet in his pasture near Sweetwater, Texas, Bugger Daniel, a self-taught archaeologist, reported that he found absolutely nothing. Bugger has therefore concluded that 300 years ago, Texas had already gone wireless.
Thank God for Bugger. Who said Texans were hicks? And that's the way it is in God's country.
Bugger (Calvin) Daniel is my Dad, so I changed the wording from the original that I received in an email earlier, just to fit us.

I really didnt intend for them to print this as a letter to the editor. I just thought they might get a kick out of it. The original I got in an email was about a guy in Oklahoma, and the newpaper was from Mustang Oklahoma. I just made the minor changes, just to show to my Dad. Heck I havent even showed it to him yet. But I guess the Sweetwater Reporter took care of that for me.:D

I just ran over a 6 ft rattlesnake - TWICE. One time stretched out and one time coiled up and rattlin away. Felt like a huge speed bump.
I wanted to kill it, but I just hacked it off!
