Was it 2 years ago that yall lost that heartbreaker against TLE? Or Lindale or somebody. The mind is the first thing to go. LOL

Good Luck to your girls.

La Grange was not even in the top 20 when the season started, now they are #3. Just goes to show you how much the person really knows about softball, do not know if this is Butch Harts poll but if is he is clueless.

As P4S has stated Sinton starts district at Ingleside tonight and this is indeed very scary. I don't get to go to out of town games like I used to but this is one I will make. Ingleside will want to beat us on their field plus the dangerous Riflearm is an assistant coach there. However her brother is an assistant coach with us now. That decreases the risk.

This has been discussed many times. It is Butch Hart that puts this together but come on, give the guy a break, he can only go by what enthusiastic parents (Lil' Suzy's dad says their team beat so and so)and some coaches send him.

This is one of the only "polls" out there for statewide softball and if you think about it, it has got to be difficult for one person to do. Be happy LG is getting recognition and let the young ladies play it out on the field.

I don't know that we have ever sent him anything.

The poll is always fun to keep up with though. :)

In the 4A poll he also had Nederland #1, pretty sure they got beat this last weekend in Brenham by a Houston team by 15 or 20 runs. Also beat by La Grange, Elgin is the real deal in 4A. Time will tell.

It is fun to keep up with and, although some teams don't get attention early, eventually we get a pretty good picture of the saltiest teams.

Good Luck to your girls.

We went to state two straight years. 1st time we lost a heartbreaker to LaGrange. 2nd time we lost in the title game to West Columbia I think (I was there but I've slept since then). I think TLE beat us last year. We've have some very good teams the past six or so years but always come up just a little short. The head coach retired so we have a new head coach this year that came in from another program but again my memory fails me.

Polls are for entertainment purposes only. The only thing that matters is who wins the last game.

I still think we should have been at state the year West Columbia won it. ;) :D
