This was a well played game.

Danbury will do very well this season.

Playing at the end of May is not out of the question for them.

Good luck Danbury on the rest of your season.

It's going to be interesting come district play with Needville, Sweeny and Columbia all fielding excellent softball teams this year. I think Columbia is 12-1 (or something close to that) and I think Needville's only loss is to Brazoswood.

Congrats Needville on beating Splendora!! I went to the Columbia vs. Splendora playoff series that Columbia won last year and I can honestly say tht I wouldn't mind if Splendora never won another softball game for the rest of the year. Little bit of fireworks last year if you know what i'm saying.

Columbia is 13 and 1 with the only loss coming against Danbury last weekend in the Brazoswood tournament. If you count our 2 scrimages against Van Vleck and Brazosport, we are 15 and 1. Shelby Parker the junior pitcher has 174 strikeouts in 87 innings of work. I am very proud of her.

I have worked all three schools in the past 5 yrs., and Columbia is the cream of the crop. I wish them all the best..

Lady tigers score 4 in the 3rd..and another in the late innings, 5-4 in teh bottom of the 7th Lady yoe have a runner on 1st and 2nd with 2 outs, Brook Brashear hits a basehit into right runner comes home from 2nd to tie it up, and is thrown out at the plate...it was a great throw, runner never had a chance

The lady Hornets have really been knocking the cover off the ball this season. If they can cut down on the errors they will definately be a team that can win the district.
