Is that his school record? 8th grader, Ben Theil from Celina ran a 43.00 300 Hurdles yesterday and he is not even in track shape yet. I expect a full second by the time district rolls around.

BTW the 8th grade boys have only lost 1 relay in 2 years. Yesterday they won all three against 3 4A feeder schools in Denton. They ran a 4.51 Mile, 46.2 Sprint and my son ran an 11.5 100M and got second. I am not sure of the accuracy of that last one as the kid that beat him must have run an 11.2 or better!

There was an 8th grader at Aubrey last year that ran an 11.2 or 11.3 last year.
It's nice to talk about junior high, but I've seen kids that were stars back in junior high that never pan out in high school.
I'm not saying it happens all the time, but follow back up when they're sophomores and see if they are making it to regionals.
If they are, then major props to them as they continue their success.

Or, they should be a freshman and running in HS. I've seen lots of good 8th graders that really weren't supposed to be there.

And, I am not knocking the EB athlete or any others. For all I know, he could be 12 years old.

4.51 mile relay? Or 3.51? Because 4.51 isn't that astounding for a mile relay team...
