Sinton Josh Rodriguez came out hitting 3's to jump out to a 14-5 lead and Sinton center 6'7" Josh Harrison dominant inside. Sinton rested them and Oso jump back into the game and starting to take control of the game. West Oso other center is hard to stop once he came in 2nd period.

West Oso advances to regional semis
Bears clamp down on defense to beat Sinton

PORTLAND — Traditionally strong defense helped West Oso overcome a first-quarter deficit to beat Sinton and advance to the Region IV-3A boys basketball semifinals.

Trailing 19-13 after the first frame, the Bears put the clamps on the Pirates' offense, allowing only two points in the third quarter and 20 points the rest of the game in a 57-39 victory.

West Oso will meet the winner to tonight's Goliad-Sweeny game on Friday at 8 p.m. at the American Bank Center arena.

I think Stafford SHOULD beat AP...but I wouldn't rule AP out.....

And West Oso is no doubt the favorite and SHOULD beat Sweeny....but w/ that said.....Sweeny has been lookin GOOD in the playoffs. W.O./Sweeny will be an awesome game I suspect.

I'm deliberating right now w/ the wife about goin down there for the Reg. tourney.

AP is scrappy & you know they play defense VERY well! Should be a good match up.

You know as well as I do Oso will shut it DOWN if Sweeny can get in their head and disrupt their game. Saw a little bit of it tonight.
