How hard is it to use the word you instead of "u"? By the way, Jasper's loss to PNG booted them from the top 10 and maybe the top 20, but we'll be back. :D

It depends on a number of things,
A) Which poll are you talking about?
B) What was your opponent's rank prior to the game?
C) How much did you lose by?

OKAY IF YOU WERE BEAT BY 14 POINTS

Ok, that would mean that you were decidedly defeated (not blown out, but a decisive defeat). That alone could drop you out of the top 10 if your opponent wasn't a top 10 team on say, for instance, the AP poll. Sportswriters are a fickle bunch of know-nothings, and their poll is nothing more than a popularity contest.

Forney wasn't ranked in a lot of preseason polls last year, and after an opening loss to Aledo, it took us until the end of the regular season to even crack the ranks, even though we didn't lose another game. Critics will always be harsh on your team if they lose.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

"The only time rankings matter is at the end of the year...unless you play DI College Football."
