The average very hard working Joe the Plumber in this country works 2000 hours a year for 25 dollars an hour which equals 50 thousand dollars a year. A person in this income range ends up paying very little in actual "income tax" however they do pay a nice little chunk in FICA and Medicare as well as all of the other taxes such as sales, property, and the like.
The average American who earns 250 thousand dollars a year works 5000 hours a year and pays around 50 percent in "income tax" earning him.... you guessed it. 25 bucks an hour.
Maybe it's time to slow down a little.:doh:
