Breaking News: Shead Commits to Texas
Cayuga AD/Football Coach confirmed the verbal commitment of record-breaking running back Traylon Shead to The University of Texas.

Allison told David Smoak, "Traylon is very excited about his decision to attend Texas, but he is also very committed to helping the Wildcats basketball team win a Class 1-A state championship." Cayuga advanced into the third-round with a 60-51 victory over Broaddus on Friday night.

Shead is on pace to threaten the Texas High School career rushing yards record set by Sugarland's Kenneth Hall. Shead enters his senior season with 7,596-yards and 102-TD's, Hall's all-time record is 11,232.

Shead rushed for 3,540-yards on 391-carrries and 52-TD's his junior season when Cayuga lost in the Class 1-A Division II State Championship Game.

He was named All-Smoaky.com "Offensive Player of the Year, and the Class 1-A Offensive Player of the Year

I went and watched him during the playoffs and he was a player that was very raw and needs some teaching on becoming a every down back

Texas has almost completed their recruiting class for 2010 and it's barely March 2009. Amazing.
