I'm pretty sure Gonzales is 8-2 in district with losses to Goliad and Edna

Don't know to much about Gonzales, but if Bellville stays hot from the outside and establishes the inside game, they could make a little run. Good luck to the Bulls!!

Good luck to the Brahmas Thursday night. 3 good restaurants in Schulenburg, right when you exit I-10. Franks-Express BBQ and Oakridge Smokehouse. Oakridge Smokehouse has a buffet line, so should be quick. Lots of luck to the Bulls, keep it going....

I believe Gonzo is 25-12. One of their best players is Tyrone Tealer.

I think Gonzo will take this game. Schulenburg gym be rocking tomorrow night!

don't know much about Gonzales....

Bellville has some height, is physical and has a great outside shooter.

I like Bellville's chances.

Haven't really followed the Bellville basketball team much this year, but note to whomever it concerns at Bellville. Stay in a Region IV district as long as you can! Seems to be benefiting all team sports.

Just looking at the 2 playoff teams that beat Gonzalez in district play, Edna got apanked by like 20 and Goliad won 34-32 lol. I like Bellvilles chances.

Whats the story of Gonzales? Are they a run and gun team or do they play controled style ball? I remember when Dora and Gonzales played together, those were some good teams.

Gonzales' strength this year is in the fact they have been here so many times before. I can't remember the last time the Apaches weren't in the playoffs. They'll start pressing you when you get off the bus.

Heard the reason the games is tonight is the Gonzales coach and Needville coach had the next game set up for Friday in Columbus nice brand new gym. But never talking to the Bellville coach till after the game, since Bellville won the Gonzales coach had the Columbus gym for friday but did not what to play Bellville their because of home court advantage?

That would be the smart thing to do. Wouldn't be smart for one team to drive 70 miles and the other to drive 30 would it?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say bellville will still have that homecourt advantage. Town travels well. Especially come playoff time.

Are you saying that since Bellville played 1 district game in the Columbus gym, the Gonzales coach thought that would give Bellville the homecourt advantage? I think it may be more that Bellville is much closer to Columbus, but Needville isn't that much farther away.

What about the Gonzales coach calling Bellville school yesterday and reserve the Bellville gym for the 3rd round? 1st he was planing to play Needville, and then playing the 3rd round in Bellville? Looks Bellville threw a curve ball at both plans?

Doesn't that coach know you don't count your chickens before they hatch? That has to be a slap in the face to call your opponent and ask them if you can use their gym for the next round. I'm sure this stirred up those Brahmas! Good night for the Red teams!

Basketball is fairly easy compared to a sport like football where you need a larger venue for the bigger crowds. Bellville & Columbus just played at a 2A gym, so finding a place to play is not that difficult. IMO, very cocky and not too smart for a coach to ask his opponent if he can use their gym for the next round.

What a game. Can we talk about what actually happened in the game? Bellville almost let one slip away but pulled it out in the end. Gonzales was just as advertised. Small but fast and pressed from buzzer to buzzer. They almost shot themselves to a win but lack of disciplined played style killed them at the end. Good win Brahmas. Will be at the next on if it is close.

Only arguing on this subject comes from someone, that has never been to Bellville and lives 5 hours away from Bellville but knows everything about our town. Thanks for the back RedStorm.:D
