How good is Roosevelt? Do my Pirates stand a chance tonight?

Crandall can definitely beat them. Velt is good, but they don't have the guard play they had when the Hutch kids were there. They rely on wearing teams down with depth and forcing teams to speed up the tempo of the game to try and run with them. Velt benefitted quite a bit from several mid-season transfers. It seemed like we played an entirely different roster the 2nd time around in district!

thats probably about right. Crandall will struggle to run with them so I can see Crandall slowing it down a bit if they can. Crandalls guard, Travis Dykman, is pretty special. He played all summer with the Carter kids to improve his game and it paid off. That kid can flat out play.

Hope that kid does well tonight. How tall is he and what grade is he in? Seems like a lot of kids from the smaller towns are coming to Dallas during the summer to play. It's helped out Argyle's players quite a bit too.

Yes. They had kids on the JV the first time around against us that couldn't play varsity because their paperwork wasn't finished. I have my own opinion about them doing that, but I guess they're eligible to play.

I think there's another trainer that lives down in Crandall as well who has done our games in the past. I think his name might've been Cory though. I could be wrong on that.

Do you know where he's from? I know at the time he was doing our games that he didn't live anywhere close to us. Pretty good guy though that was fun to have at our games. All the kids seemed to like him quite a bit.

Is that the blonde headed boy? You had one guard that had a really good game against us in Sherman tournament.
