La Grange brought back the State Championship teams today to honor them in the dedication ceremony. The 1973, 2001 & 2004 State Championship baseball teams were in attendance along with the 2005 State Softball Championship team. History of each of the programs were highlighted. The fields are immaculate. If you have not had a chance to visit you will be in awe. La Grange Softball has a good chance to bring home another championship this year, continuing the rich tradition. Baseball will need a couple of years under the helm of new coach, and former alumni, to bring back the rich tradition of baseball. Present and future players should be honored to play in the new facilites that were long overdue.

The Alumni Baseball team defeated the 2009 Leps. Many former college players were in attendance.

Sorry no pictures. Maybe another LG poster can help us.

Everything was well thought out in the whole design of each field. Many of the ex-college baseball players today said it was better than most college fields they played on. The stadium itself is nice but the actual playing field is top notch. LG recently hired an actual field and turf management specialist who is dedicated to maintaining all athletic fields. Again, nothing has been overlooked. We are looking forward to the upgrade of the football stadium next.

I hope another LG poster has pics.

I hope we will be upgrading our facilities very soon. Football, baseball & softball. That would be sweet!

LG will be upgrading academic facilities as well. New Elementary and Middle School are in dire need. Commitee for a master plan has been established and are making visits to other schools. New Supt and school board has done a great job in working to get LG back to high standards both academically and athletically.

Could have been done 5-8 years ago, after those state championships.

The Columbus field is no comparison, Columbus has fixed their up nice but LG field is totally brand new. These fields were very well thought out from field design to drainage system, the playing surface is like playing on a Golf green. I give our new Super 2 thumbs up for a great job, amazing but still work needs to be done at most all of our facilities( this includes the class rooms). Our facilities were very neglected for the last 15 yrs., so now it will take more money to bring them up to parr. Bad decisions over a # of years has put us in this situation.
