Just curious as to what they've got and what kind of style are they playing this year on both ends?

Pleasant Grove will be playing its tune up game against Dallas Lancaster (#9 4A team in the state) at 10:15pm, Friday the 20th, at SMU's Moody Stadium. It will be the final game of the night with some of Texas best teams being represented.
Games
First game: Highland Park vs Pinkston
2nd game: Sherman vs North Crowley
3rd game: Duncanville vs Cedar Hill
4th game: Findlay Prep (Nevada) vs God's Academy
Final Game: Pleasant Grove vs Dallas Lancaster

They would have made a better run in the playoffs last year, but...3 of their better players overslept for a Saturday practice and the coach made them set out for the playoff game. They are a well coached, talented, get after ya team, great hustle and play team ball. The game against Lancaster should tell a lot!

The game against Lancaster should be fun. I haven't gotten to see Lancaster play this year, but several folks who have watched them or coached against them this year have said that 1-12 they have the most talented team in 4A. I've heard that their major drawback is that they'll sometimes play down to the level of the team they're playing against.

Anyhow does PG press at all or trap in the half-court?

They press all night, Threatt, Reid and Watts are three of their key players, Watts is a great dribbler and 3 point artist, Threatt is got a soft shot and has serious up's, as Threatt goes so goes PG, Reid is a great compliment to Threatt and Watts, "the triple threat". Wacha (all state pitcher) 6'6" works hard on the boards as do all PG players!
