Would not surprise me to see bandera take the title for boys. We have a really strong team this coming year. Our 4x4 got 4th at state last year and should be better this year...stands true for most of our relays. and then some individual performers returning from last years state meet as well

Got to go with CUERO
That is untill someone can knock em off.
Alot of speed again this year.
I again see the relays to be tuff to stop. "All three"
Will have at least 2 in triple jump & Long jump,
Will have 1 maybe 2 in high jump.
Will have 2-3 there in 100m
1 or 2 in 200m
Shot and Discus will not be as strong as years past.
Long Distance ? Well this is Cuero. Knowone will run more than a 400m.
Hurdles will be tuff to have anyone there with Franklan from Goliad and Markert from Yoakum. Cuero could have the 3rd one there in both.

Depends on what the boys from Giddings, Sealy, Sweeny, Wharton, etc... bring to the table.

My money is still on Cuero, but ya never know.

I keep seeing Giddings and Sealy mentioned, but not Bellville. Does everyone realize Bellville has won about 10 straight district titles which included these teams?

So the favorites in this region will be Sealy, Cuero, Wharton, Giddings and Sweeny? That seems to be a pretty good group of schools right there.

CeuroDad, unless you guys can top a 3:24, we should take it again. We ran that at state last year I believe, and we are only getting faster. Bandera should have one of the best 4x4 in the state. Im predicting a 3:20

Cant wait
Yall ran a 3;21.46 at state last year.
A 3;20.00 would be a good time.
It will take 3;18 or 3;19 to win it all

Thanks for the update CueroDad. I didnt realize it was a 3:21. We lost two of our runners, but the two replacing them are just as adequate as the two we lost, and the two returning have gotten faster. Should be a really fun race to watch. I may have to make the trip to Corpus that weekend

Cuero should go sub 42 in the 4x100 again. Sub 1:27 in the 4x200 and sub 3:25 in the 4x400. Sub 3:20 is just smoking in 3A. I don't see us with enough depth for that. You can never tell.

Watch out in the jumping events. Should be awesome. Glover and Johnson are just plain good. They should both be around 23 feet in the long and over 45 in the triple. I would love to see them jump up to about 48 or 49 feet in the triple jump.

Oh yeah, Cuerodad08, don't forget about Buster Hansel in the distance events. He won district in cross-country. He went to regionals as a Freshman and has become a very good runner. Cuero and distance races usually don't go together.

First track meet in Saturday at Bastrop.
