EB Cross Country Coach Runs at Austin Marathon

East Bernard cross county coach Susan Walters finished fifth overall in the women's division at Austin Marathon on Sunday..

She won her 40-44-year old age division in 3 Hours and 10 minutes

She was 122nd overall to finish among men and women

6, 959 runners compete in the marathon and 4,091 were women.

After watching many cross country races and track meets, I got to watch my first marathon. Early start for a Sunday morning and a good turnout. The field stretched all the way from the Capitol, probably at least 10-12 city blocks long. Made me feel really bad that I can only manage 30 minutes on the treadmill and these runners were heading out for 13 and 26 miles......

Congrat's to my daughter Logan as she completed her first Half marathon and battled the hills in Austin after training in Lubbock.

Placing 4th in her age group (19 & under women) and posting a time of 1 hr 48 minutes for the 13.1 miles. :clap: :clap: :clap:
