fort stockton is not bad but don't be suprised to see the stockton playoff winless streak continue. they may get that elusive win but your looking at probably someone that is alot better than tornillo or clint. with stockton struggles lately it will be tough to advance. if they do win, they are done in the next round which should be someone like brownfield, wylie, or estacado.

struggles? When you play starters for for about 2 full quarters and bench players the rest, scores aren't really indicitive of the players... way to bash the kids...lol they have beaten everyone but lamesa in that district, and that was without Lambert Gonzalez, he came back and has added his 14 and 8 a night...

Will be very tough to beat a team like Brownwood. Region 1 is very tough this year. Look out for Liberty Hill, they might be a surprise in this region. Burkburnett, Estacado, Brownfield, Abilene Wylie, etc....Tough tough tough.

either way, the playoffs are going to be fun to watch... good luck to all teams in Region 1 and across the state..

How is your playoff picture shaping up?

As it stands it looks like Needville will get LaGrange in the 1st round. If this scenario plays out, it should be a good game!!

D26 appears to be set....

1. Stafford
2. Sweeny
3. Needville

D25

1. La Grange
2. Bellville
3. Smithville with a win on Tuesday over La Grange
Sealy with a win over Columbus and a Smithville lose

Tuesday should be exciting. Can anyone who is going to the Smithville/La Grange game text me updates of the score? If so pm me and I will give you my number.

You should be very aware of Gatesville.

Navasota
Cameron

District 21-3A

1. Silsbee 9-0
2. Hardin-Jefferson 8-1
3. WOS 5-4
4. Orangefield 4-5

Silsbee and HJ play Tuesday night. A win by Silsbee would wrap up the district championship for the Tigers. A win by HJ would force a third game for the #1 seed, both teams would be declared co-champs. The game is at Silsbee.

WOS and Orangefield play Tuesday also. A WOS win would wrap up the third place spot. An Orangefield win would force a play-in game for the right to go to the playoffs. Tuesday night's game is at WOS.

Goliad and Gonzales play Tuesday night with Goliad being in first with an 8-1 record while Gonzales is 7-2. Game is in Gonzales, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the district end up in a tie with a playoff necessary for the district championship. Edna and Cuero are very close to a tie for third place spot in the district.

District 7 right now is

Glen Rose
Gatesville
Hillsboro

Glen Rose and Gatesville will be co-champion's, with Glen Rose going as the #1 seed. They have already had a coin flip to decide this. Glen Rose has one district game left against Whitney. So they will be the #1 seed regardless, with Gatesville 2nd.

If you shut down the Moore kid, you can beat Gatesville. They force everything to him. Nobody else want's to shoot.

I believe Clint will be the #2 seed, there a scrappy team, run alot of backdoor plays, not alot of size but have a guard(orange hair) that can shoot but only goes right.

#3 seed I believe will be tornillo, again a very VERY small team, but I was impressed with thier coach, very intense and seemed to know how to use his team, alot of pressing and they are very scrappy, hustle, hustle, hustle..

Not sure on #2 & 3 Bandera could be one, Sinton scouted them last week.

Not sure on #2 & 3 Hondo is 17-11 for the season and 9-1 in their district. The rest of the district, at least spots 2 through 6, is all still in the mix looking for the remaining two playoff berths as of feb 13th.

Looks like the winner of this game gets to play Gonzales in the area round. Apaches won 28AAA last night.
