Which animal/breed makes the best pet? (got pics of yours?). I have always been partial to Labs---smart, devoted, with a great disposition. Had cats, birds, rabbits, and several saltwater aquariums in my time.

Jason's Mute Woman theory is a powerful thing, you know how many things men avoid to not get chewed out for, Women know that, it's power! haha

Well I can think of about six million things that make a better pet than a Cat, if that helps.

My favorite dog is boxers, but since I dont live in the country anymore I wont have one. I think big dogs need big areas to run in, not some little fenced in back yard.

Boxers
Labs
German Shepards
Wennie Dogs - I know these dont fit my profile, but we have two and I love em.

I have a boxer myself. D.J. is one smart dog. He's the second boxer I've had. The first one I had, "Duke", never was house-trained, but never would go inside the house. He would get my attention and I would open the door and he would go take care of business. My wife won't let D.J. stay in the house, but my guess is that he wouldn't be hard to train. I also have a rat terrier named "Tiny". Actually, he was a gift from my mother-in-law to my daughters, but guess who takes care of him............yeah, my wife, mostly.:D

I don't think you can beat a Boston Terrier. They are smarter than any animal I've ever seen and well behaved. Great around kids.

You can't go wrong with getting a boxer.

I have two of 'em, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Chicken make lousy house pet!....

Our Jack Russell is the best dog we have ever had... Usually had mutts, a few labs, etc. and she's the best one. Smart, gentle and protective.

Got a blind 13 yr old Lhasa Apso...
great dog and I have posted pictures of her before. She would be a better companion dog. Not a dog to take to the park.
Our Shar pei/golden retreiver mix is a terror to other dogs, cats, possums, squirls, guinnia pigs, neighbors or even scent. Such a good dog and swims if you throw him in your pool! (j/k about the last) He put's out fires with his paws... j/k again.
Our next dog is gonna be a Boston Terrier or Pug... so my wife tells me.:nerd:

Many people give up their boxers for several reasons. This is sad because they are the most loving of all dogs. That can be the problem with them. They want in the house with people because the NEED the love and attention. They want in your lap because they don't know how big they are. They are very very fun and playfull but often tear thing up things of value just being playfull.

If you want a dog that will love you every single monent of their life, get a boxer. However be prepared they can also be a problem child. I recomend them highly but I am a huge dog lover!!

Here is mine letting my daughters friend (whom he had never seen before this day) put makeup on him and paint his nails.... goofy dog!!!

My son and his wife have a half boxer half sharpei ....I'm still not too sure about him. He likes my son, my daughter in law, my granddaughter and me....and that is pretty much it.

He barks at everyone else and even snapped at my step son....and he's probably only 8 months old.

Boxer's are great dogs. Wonderful with children and very protective or their owners and their property. I had one growing up and would love to have another. I just don't have to time to spend with one right now.
