you're leaving out too many:

Kenneth Norman - All State Offense and Defense
Mike Welch - All state free safety - SWC Freshmanof the year

There's a mountain in Sweetwater?

Is there even a hill?

9 mile mountain south of town. Not really a mountain but it would serve our purposes.

That whole range to the south is called Steamboat Mountains. Like you I doubt they really qualify as mountains, but their all we got, and they seem to be great for wind tubines, so I guess we'll claim em.

Here is one most of you wont know, but believe me he qualifies if your going on athletics alone.
John Mills Houston - He was the best running back in the state in 68 & 69. He screwed up over the summer though and lost his full ride to Texas, or I guarantee everyone would know who he is.
Picture Kenneth Norman Sr. with afterburners.

You gotta start with Sammy Baugh without a doubt.

Lots of old guys from the 40s & 50s went on to play big time college ball, but I cant think of any names off the top of my head. And many never came back, so I wouldnt know them anyway.

Yea I guess so. I've even seen them listed that way on a map or two. That's what I've always known them as anyway.

And I know of several big nice solid rock drop offs that faces could be carved in I guess, but you can only get to them by horseback. I hunted rattlesnakes on most of those ledges many years ago.

I know a guy who knew Turner pretty well and has told several good stories about him.
