Always liked Favre as a player, but his multi-retirement soap operas have served to diminish his reputation in the eyes of many. A man of his maturity should have had more discipline and regard for his fellow teammates, and go out with more class and dignity.

It is hard to retire. I retired from softball 10 years ago but my 23 year old son begged me to play on his city league team. I played in the spring and summer leagues last year. Now he is bugging me to play again. When you have the talent that Brett and I have, it is sometimes hard to give it up. And I will be 55 next month so Brett has a way to go before I hold it against him.
