Cuero Lady Gobblers B-Ball

Distric champs for the first time in school history (so I have been told). still have not hurd it from anyone older than me to make sure. Edna now has 3 in the loss side on the year. (Two of those 3 were to the Lady gobblers)

Congrats to the Lady Gobblers - 1 loss in district.. :clap: :clap: I don't have the memory I used to have but the Lady Gobblers were pretty darn good in 96 - 97 and were in the playoffs but I don't remember if they won district or not. I will try to find out tomorrow...... Either way - Way to go Ladys and Coach Fryer :clap: :clap:

I just looked it up in middle son's yearbook.. The Lady Gobblers won district in 96 and 97 when Brenda Littleton was the coach. They lost in the area round to Liberty Hill. They went undefeated in district in 97.

Again, I am so happy for Coach Fryer and the Ladys :clap: :clap:

The Boys also beat Edna to stay in playoff hunt.
Pulled out a 1 point win in OT on the road.

Gobblers defeat Yoakum 42 - 25 to stay in the playoff hunt for third place. One game left (Palacios), then it looks like a playoff game against Edna for third place (Goliad - 1st, Gonzales 2nd).

Now the only way we can get in a one game playoff game with Edna for 3rd , Is Edna would have to get beat by Yoakum next Tues. And that is not going to happen.
