New HS and new AD/head coach for Byron Nelson HS---
NEW COACH AND PRINCIPAL APPROVED - The Northwest ISD school board approved appointments to the posts of campus athletic coordinator/head football coach of Byron Nelson High School and principal of elementary No. 14. Brian Polk, current athletic director and head football coach at Van Alstyne ISD in Van Alstyne, was hired as the BNHS campus athletic coordinator/head coach. Polk has served as AD and head football coach at Van Alstyne since 2006 and was previously a coach at Allen High School and Garland High School. Julie Nerby, current principal at Haslet Elementary, was hired as the principal of elementary No. 14. She has been with the district since 1995.
