Does everyone think that there should be asterisks in baseball record books for all records held by people who played during the steroid era that tested positive?

IDK good, question, unless every player was tested by a certain date (mid 90's???) people will question there career.

Let's just get rid of all the records.

if juiced hitters were hitting off juiced pitchers, doesn't that even out?

No...baseball is the only sport that seems to want to keep old records in tact.

We didn't put an asterisk next to Emmitt Smith for his longevity; we didn't put an asterisk next to Wayne Gretzky for playing in the most offensive-minded era in NHL history, and we won't put asterisks next to Kobe or LeBron for coming out of high school when others have to wait until they complete some college. We don't put an asterisk next to the '72 Dolphins for only playing a 14-game season. We don't put an asterisk next to Babe Ruth's numbers for playing in a league with far inferior talent than today's major leaguers.

Eras come and go, and I believe that the 90s were a steroid era for baseball. The home runs counted, and games were decided on those home runs. Unless you want to put asterisks next to Gaylord Perry's numbers for pitching in the dead ball era, you can't take away records from Bonds, McGwire, et al for playing in a steroids era when there was no league rule against the drugs. Federal law, yes, but players like Sosa didn't even live in the U.S. during the offseason, and their home countries might not have the same laws that we do.

no, people generally know who used and who didn't and that will be passed down through time. Let people make their own assumptions

Why just them? What about the 100 other players who tested positive in that same test?

Because I couldn't care less about the rest of them!
