High School Home Run Derby in Tampa

A good friend of mine got to participate in the International High School Home Run Derby at Tropicana field this year, check out some of his highlights from it.

Randal Grichuk, Lamar Consolidated H.S., 2009
signed with Arizona, hit 18 Homeruns last high school season and helped lead his team to 4A regional Finals. He should be drafted in the upcoming draft.

Isnt this truck from Richmond making 2 runs to Willamsport earlier in the decade man he was a beast that second year. Joey "Wheels" Sherrick sp? would get on in front of him and "Truck" would usally bring him around with a homer that team was fun to watch.

yea he went twice, has been hitting bombs every season, even for the USA youth team in Venezula when they won the gold in 2007.

Also at the derby was Bryce Harper a sophmore from Neveda, this kid hit a ball 502 ft. at the derby. He's projected to be the first pick in 2011. This guy can hit.

idk how far his farthest with wood but 502 was with aluminum
