Forney verus Carthage

What is your take on this game? Who are the players to watch for on both teams?

Tough game. It is easy to predict that there will
be more scoring than last year, but I think there
will be a lot of points scored in this game. No
doubt, Hanie and Laury are our two key offensive
players, but we have more weapons than just those
two. #'s 5,6,9,16,18,21,23,82 are all important
to our success this year. This team has the best
offensive balance of any recent Forney team. Our
defense is fundamentally sound, play great as a
team, and run to the ball very well. You could
argue that we don't have any superstars on
defense, but we do have a lot of real good ones
that will hit you hard time after time.

the thing that impressed me against wills point was FHS' pass coverage, especially downfield. stephens had no one to throw to all night and had to dump it off early in the game, then they went to the short screens, etc. later in the game. since carthage is mostly a running team with the 2 good, fast backs thats somewhat of a concern. the forney defense pursues very well and it they can match up and compete with carthage's front 5 then they should be successful enuf for FHS to get the win because they will score some points. of course turnoves will be big. should be a good one!
