I think it was over an issue dealing with Job title/responsibilities. A senior management consulting-type position was supposed to be created for Reeves, with a focus on personnell and planning, with little if any actual coaching. But apparently the contract being signed had a different name for the title as well as more hands on coaching duties assigned, and it seems like Jerry said 'this is what we want/need" and Reeves wasn't comfortable doing that.

Thank goodness Reeves had enough sense to not get involved with Jerry Jones.

I think the problem was Jerry saying, "ok now, dan, you know I have walked with god and helped him plan you. So listen to everything I say. You now are just a figurehead."
