This was on the statesmans page. Did Dodge leave NT?

Who is most likely to end up as Westlake’s next football coach?

Todd Dodge, North Texas 23.44% 60
Ron Schroeder, former coach 10.94% 28
Steve Ramsey, Westlake assistant 24.61% 63
Jeff Dicus, Duncanville 19.53% 50
Someone else 21.48% 55

He was on-hand to announce the signing of a whopping 13 high school seniors yesterday.

Hmm. Just because he hasn't left NT, doesn't mean he can't or won't. Simply seems to me that the AAS thinks Dodge would be a person of interest for the Westlake job.

Since there is a lot more people closer to denton than I am right now, Do you think dodge would really consider going back to the HS ranks ?

I don't think Dodge is ready to pack it up yet, but I do think that he's lost some enthusiasm and optimism.

North Texas is a very bad program right now and has really taken major steps back since the early part of this decade when they were winning their conference every year.

When you consider what he's gone through with the off-the-field stuff plus the fact that Vizza just left, there's turmoil at UNT right now, and although I think Dodge will at least stick around for next year, I wonder if UNT will be looking elsewhere if things don't turn around.

he does have ties to westlake though. I would say if he wanted the job it would be his.

Dodge isn't leaving anytime soon.. His career here at NT hinges on what he does this upcoming season. I think if he wins 4-5 games then he will get one more year.. Anything less than that the following year and he will be gone
